Description

OpenToonz is an open source 2D animation production software based on Toonz developed by DWANGO Co., Ltd. It is based on the same software used by Studio Ghibli and its toolset was adapted to the studio’s production style.

OpenToonz can fulfill any part of the 2D animation pipeline. It has tools for scanning/cleaning, digital ink, paint/fill, and compositing.

OpenToonz is also expandable. It supports compositing and a GTS scanning plugin that allows OpenToonz to be extensible and fulfill any on-site needs.
